Expo971 – Heritage & Handicraft Events

Who We Are
Organised under the patronage of the Rewaq Ousha Bint Hussein Cultural & Social Centre, Expo971 is brought to life through the dedication of the foundation’s members, who share a deep passion for preserving Emirati culture and heritage.
Our goal is simple yet powerful: to protect Emirati heritage and bring it to life for future generations. We believe heritage is not something to be locked away in museums, but something to be lived, experienced, and passed on between generations.
That is why Expo971 was designed as a living cultural exhibition where traditions are displayed and practiced by skilled artisans, artists, and community participants, in alignment with the UAE’s Year of Community 2025, as announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
By connecting artisans, schools, families, and cultural institutions, we aim to strengthen pride in identity while inspiring creativity and innovation. Building on the success of the 2024 Dubai edition, Expo971 continues its mission to honour the past, empower the present, and build a sustainable cultural future.
